Meryn Trant was a knight of the Kingsguard under kings Robert Baratheon, Joffrey Baratheon, and Tommen Baratheon in HBO's Game of Thrones. Known for his unwavering obedience and brutal efficiency, Trant was a ruthless and cruel figure.
He was fiercely loyal to the crown, carrying out orders without question, regardless of their morality. He participated in numerous violent acts, including the massacre of Robert Baratheon's illegitimate children and the beating of Sansa Stark at Joffrey's command.
His reputation for cruelty and lack of compassion made him widely disliked. Ultimately, he met his end in Braavos, where he was killed by Arya Stark as part of her revenge plot. She added him to her list, marking his demise as a form of justice for his heinous actions.
